How have you been?

The other day,because it was the autumn equinox period,I went to visit my familly’s grave.Around this time every year,red spider lilies bloom and always catch my eye.Even though we’d been having so many hot days,their vivid red still stands out-I can’t help but think how think how striking that color is.

Higan is a period in Japan that occurs around the spring and autumn equinoxes.During this time ,people often visit familly graves,offer flowers and incense,and reflect on their ancestors.The name Higan literally means “the other shore,”symbolizing the Buddhist idea of crossing from the world of suffering to enlightenment.

Now that the autumn equinox has passed,the nights are getting longer.
